Night Owls  
                               
Payneham Night Owl Bowls has been conducted since the mid 1990s and the number of participants has grown substantially because:
  • Social Bowls is extremely popular. It is played by the young, elderly and in between. Men, Women and mixed
  • The game is entertaining and low priced
  • Whether you like intense competition or a casual social get together - lawn bowls is for you
  • You may join as an individual or as a team of four. These teams are often formed from friendship circles or via your place of work. If the latter, such outings add value for the "Boss" via the "team building benefits" the business world looks for

WHAT  IS SUPPLIED?
  • Loan bowls are provided
  • Our fully licensed premises
  • Our kitchen serves a wide variety of canteen-like hot or cold food and also hot drinks
  • Our greens are amongst the best in Adelaide
 
WHAT MUST I BRING?
  • Yourself and a mindset " to enjoy"
  • Soft rubber flat soles shoes.
  • Cheap "bowls" shoes are available at discount shoe stores for a very reasonable cost. By wearing these you will help look after our greens 
  • Casual dress
 
PRIZES?
We hand out multiple prizes each night. Some are competition based and others via our raffle and novelties.
 
WHEN DO WE PLAY?
  • During daylight savings each year
  • Registrations start Mid September
  • Competitions start early October
  • Every Tuesday & Thursday Nights
  • We arrive at the Clubhouse by 7.00 pm, for a 7.30 pm start of play
  • Our season usually concludes on the last week in March. Weather permitting, we quite often extend though.
 
THE MAJOR ATTRACTION?
- Just picture yourself after a hectic day at work. Pleasant company, a warm night, a patch of green grass under lights, a cool drink and a snack from our kitchen in hand.
